Distinctive gilt binding decoration, endpaper illustrations and black & white imagery throughout by Cecil Walton, whose principal work was a handsome volume of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales some 13 years earlier. CONDITION: Minor edge-wear, spine a little skewed, illustrated endpapers starting at hinges but holding firm. Light foxing to first & last few leaves. Gilt slightly dulled.
