No loose or missing pages. Textblock dearkened. 406 pages. Nice reading/reference/consultation copy.

McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1960. Hardcover. Acceptable. Poor condition. Loose binding with separation of FFE and back strip. Lots of writing on FFE (names, prices, other numbers) and large stain on backside of page. Green end papers and free end papers are faded with darker staining in the hinges. Bluish green boards are dirty, stained, faded, worn on edges, with corner bumping and a really faded spine. Pages lightly yellowed, darker on the outer text block. All that said, readable copy, it's just not pretty.

Deckled pages edges. Bumped corner tips and dented spine ends. Ex-libris sticker on front paste down. Paperclip impression at top of first five pages. Age-toning to all paste downs and end pages. Liner is exposed in the hinge between back end page and paste down. 348 pages.

Triangle Books, 1945. Hardcover. Acceptable. Hardback. Dust jacket is present and has a protective mylar archival book jacket. The DJ has wearing to the corner tips and along the edges. Aqua cloth covered boards are in good shape, but some darkening along edges and spine strip. Board tips are lightly bumped, more significant bumping to ends of spine strip. Paste downs, end pages, and text block are all very age-toned. FFE has penciled initials. Sewn binding is in good shape, with very minor twisting. No loose pages. Nice reading copy. 254 pages.

Westernlore Press, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. One of 350 copies. Corners and ends of spine are lightly shelf worn and bumped; reddish boards are fairly clean with slight bowing inward. End papers are tanned, with small nick near fold on front end paper. Light pencil erasure at top of front end paper. From the Great West and Indian Series, VI. 77 pages. Tight binding. No DJ.

Oxford University Press, 1948. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Hardcover and hard to find book. No dust jacket. Four dime-sized circular stains on front boards. Beige-ish cloth covered boards, with wearing to corner tips and spine ends. Dented corners. Slightly cocked. Sunning to spine. Ex-libris stick on FEP. Paste downs and end pages are pictorial. Pages are age-toned. Binding is good, and copy is readable. Book does fall open between two of the page signatures, but as stated, good reading copy. 220pps.

The Modern Library, 1950. Hardcover. Good. Small hardcover, 4.75 x 7.25". There is no date of publication inside the book, however, it can be no later than 1951, as there is a hand-written note on the rear of the FFE dated June 5, 1951. No DJ. Green cloth boards are faded, with faint stains on front and back boards. Wear to the bottom of spine and corner tips. The paste downs and end papers are printed with the Modern Library design logo and have yellowed. Binding is good. Neat little book.

Gilt lettering on spine has faded, but still visible. Bumped corner tips. Lightly yellowed pages. Study maps are still attached to binding. Readable copy. No dust jacket.

DeVore & Sons, 1992. Hardcover. Very Good. DeVore & Sons, a Wichita, KS based publishing company, printed 25,000 copies of this title. FFE has a bookplate with the name of the original recipient and it indicates that this is #1,210 of the 25k copies printed. Under that bookplate, which is affixed to the FFE with a single piece of cellophane tape, is a stamp for the Wichita Public schools, so more than likely, DeVore was distributing these copies to the ISD in Wichita to present to students. Black cloth covered boards are clean. Gilt embossing on front and spine is bright and clean. It's not clear if these books were printed with a dust jacket. This copies looks good as new, with very little usage, if any. Very square corners. Tight binding. 279 pages.

Pine Tree Press Publication, 1983. Paperback. Good. This is one of 2,000 in the December 1983 print run. 109 pp. The white cover has mellowed to a yellowish cream color. Corner tips are lightly bumped. Covers are lightly rubbed, and back cover has an indentation near bottom, and a one inch scratch from outer edge. Spine un-creased and binding is tight. Pages are clean and unmarked.

China Institute in America, 1980. Softcover. Good. Issued in conjunction with "the first exhibition of mounted porcelain ever to have been assembled" per the preface written by Francis Watson. Filled with photographs of the pieces at the exhibition. Stapled binding. Rubbed covers, with lightly dented corner tips and shelf wear to the bottom of the spine. Background of cover photo has yellowed somewhat. Pages have mellowed to a light manila shade. Darker yellowing at gutters. 63 pages. 8 1/2 by 10 3/4's.

Williamson Printing and Publishing, 1947. Hardcover. Acceptable. Large tome focusing on the first 100 years of the college, founded in 1846 as the Illinois Conference Female Academy, which was affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The college went through many name changes over the decades, and struggled with enrollment and finances in its final years. The college closed down in March of 2020. This book is in fair condition. Faded, dirty and worn red cloth covers. Gilt titling on front cover and spine has faded and is quite faint. Bumped corner tips and at heel and head of spine. Spine edges and board edges are rubbed and worn. Foxing to paste downs and endpapers. FFE is missing. Rear pastedown has a small envelope stuck to it. We are not removing that as it might tear the paste down. Binding is splitting at the half title page, revealing the liner. Headband is separating towards the rear of book block.
