Beautifully illustrated story of Swan Lake, with musical passages written at the top of the written pages. Zwerger is an acclaimed Austian illustrator famous for her haunting, dreamy treatments of fairy tales. A collector's copy.

A nice copy, very likely a first printing (no additional printings stated) of this collection of classic stories (Rip Van Winkle, Emperor's New Clothes, etc) from a Shirley Temple television series. Oversized hardcover, no jacket as-issued. Wonderful illustrations from several contriibutors, some 2-color, some full color. A bit of soil to boards, wear to corners, cellophane coating starting to break a touch along the gutter of the binding. Not ex-library, no markings internally.

Gilt foredge, gilding also on spine and front board--front cloth with wonderful decorative pattern. Wear to all corners and edges, a few page corners bent at top. Previous owner's name on front endpaper. Half of blank page between frontis and title is missing, title page has some staining. Interior pages have a touch of browning, but are overall quite good.

Sticker on spine may indicate ex-library, no other markings save previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Front hinge cracked, repaired somewhat crudely. Illustrated, 960 pages.

Grosset & Dunlap, 1924. Hardcover. Good. A typical tough-to-identify G&D reprint -- copyright page reads 1924 by George H. Doran Company, with the letter code "CL." My guess would be early 50s. Endpapers are a lovely, teal country scene, and color plate illustrations are in wonderful condition. Cover has some water stains and top spine edge is slightly tattered, but binding is tight and solid. No dj.

In two volumes, bound in quarter black cloth over pictorial cloth coverd boards. 21 full-page, hand-colored illustrations, 40 b&w text illustrations. Fine in protective plastic (pre-dates Brodart, but is applied correctly). In VG slipcase with light corner wear.. Includes Limited Editions club newsletter (fine) and "The Illustrated Illustrator", which excerpts sketches and letters from the illustrator to the publisher concerning his progress on this work. This last item only is a bit creased and has a small tear. Additional postage required. Slipcase lacks spine label
