DJ remains bright, however, and the book itself is in very good condition -- spine tight and pages clean. It appears very lightly read. There is an inscription to a former owner on the title page.

This copy is from the library of Oregon writer Sylvia Louise Engdahl, who wrote her name in ink on the first free fly leaf. Engdahl was a runner-up for the 1971 Newberry Medal for her first novel, "Enchantress From the Stars." A longtime friend of the Eugene (Oregon) Public Library, she donated her library to its Friends group. Book, otherwise, has no extraneous writing, marks, or underlining.

This beautiful paperback has 27 full-page color reproductions of paintings by Margaret Mee (1909-1988) from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The botanical artist produced hundreds of botanical paintings as a result of her exploration of the flora of Brazil, along the River Amazon and in the Amazon rainforest.

Small hardback souvenir copy of the Keynote Speech made by Homer Cummings at the 1920 Democratric Party Convention in San Francisco. Cummings (1870-1956) was an American lawyer and politician who was the U.S. Attorney General from 19330 to 1939. He served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee between 1919 to 1920. Inscribed by Cummings to the Hon. Patrick Quealy, a Wyoming businessman with widespread commercial, financial, and coal mining interests. The book cover's corner tips at slightly bumped. Binding and spine remain tight. Former library book.
