Black blindstamped cloth, gilt lettering and coat-of-arms on front cover, 4 to, 47 pp. of text, 16 full page plates depicting the Imperial Dynasty of Manco CCapac, frontis portrait of author, and a full page plate consisting of four coat of arms. Text in Spanish consists of a short history of the conquest of the Incas, followed by brief biographies of the 16 Inca monarchs. Sahuaraura (1775 ca,-1853) was a descendant of Inca royalty who rose to prominence in the Catholic Church. Book shows some foxing (especially preliminaries), some numbers written on front paste-down, in pencil. No marks in book, binding tight. Covers show minor edge wear, light soiling to rear cover, 1/2" tear to cloth top of rear joint. Book condition VG.

The author considered this work the "worst novel ever written" but it appears, after appearing in serial form in the Illustrated Times, Sala lost ownership of this work to a creditor. No marks in books, bindings tight and pages clean. Covers show very light edge wear. Book condition VG.
