Number 79 from a limited edition of 50 copies on Annam de Rives, with a suite "en noir des pointes seches" (with variations, total limitation of 600 copies. An uncommon limited edition, in any guise. Spine tips lightly rubbed, with a few small chips in the glassine, otherwise near fine, in tape-repaired slipcase.

A pretty binding, just a little scuffed along joints and edges of boards. Previous owner's bookplate on front fly-leaf.

London, 1744. Hardcover. Very Good+. Speckled calf, gilt-stamped lettering and ornament on spine. Both volumes a little rubbed along spine and edges of boards, with small chips at head of spine, and numbered stickers affixed to tail of spine. Some faint browning along edges of paste-down, prelims, and terminals -- but overall a nice, clean text block. Includes an interesting bookplate on the front paste-down, engraved by Benjamin Levi for Isaac Mendes in London, 1746, the earliest known bookplate made for a Jew.

Spine of volume one cracking along the bottom, but still sound; all and all, a very handsome set bound in contemporary calf, spines gilt, red leather title labels. Engraved frontis portrait, engraved title vignettes and all plates present.

Frankfurt: heirs of Andreas Wechel, 1583. Hardcover. Very Good+. [8], 416, [20] pages, including final blank. 8vo, 168x101 mm, contemporary limp vellum with thong ties of varying lengths. Some minor spotting, spine a bit darkened with age; occasional insignificant worming in blank lower margins, opening leaves slightly dog-eared; overall, a very nice copy of a quite scarce book on logic.

The rest of the text block is nice and bright, with just a few instances of some very faint foxing. A nice copy of an uncommon title.
