Brown leather with gold-stamped decoration, five raised spine-bands, all edges gilt, marbled end-papers, the binding has a good deal of rubbing which has affected the gold decoration, especially on the spine, the rear cover is partially detached and should not be opened if possible, the blank end-papers have mild foxing but the contents pages are bright and clean, a flawed but still presentable and unique edition of this classic .
