Description:
Barcelona: Critica, 1996. First edition of this anti-Semitic treatise written by Francisco de Quevedo, one of the key literary figures of Spain's "siglo de oro". Quevedo wrote this work in 1633, but the manuscript disappeared, and for centuries this work was catalogued among Quevedo's lost works. This is the first edition and is also a critical edition, with an extensive introduction, notes, and a bibliography. 8vo. Publisher's cloth. Dustjacket. An attractive and important book.
