First published in 1896, this is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the Third Edition. Green cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine and front cover, which has a colour print of the Irish coast tipped-in. The price (1/6 net) is blindstamped onto the cover as well. Clean text; 330 pages, indexed, with a fold-out map. This copy has been INSCRIBED by "The Editor" on the FFEP to Anthony Birrell. Quercus believes this to be the son (b. 1892) of the politician (and also a barrister) Augustine Birrell. A few bumps and some minor rubbing. A very sweet little book. . Inscribed By Author.
