The colophon states, "Bears is published in an edition of five hundred copies of which one hundred are slip-cased and numbered." The present copy is in a cloth slipcase but not numbered. To the front "This book belongs to" page, it is inscribed, "DENNIS, MERRY CHRISTMAS, 1982, LOVE M". This copy is from the estate of Dennis Hopper. In 1982 O'Donoghue and Nelson Lyon co-wrote a sequel to Hopper's classic film, Easy Rider. This was presented to Hopper during this time. A nearly fine copy with only a few small spots of foxing to the spine. The slipcase shows some light wear but has several small spots of staining to one side. Also a 1/4" chip to the cloth at the upper end. Very solid. A rare book with a rare inscription. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
