Inscribed January 1st, 1928 to Antoinette from Eleanor. I was not able to trace these names to any specific person or persons but perhaps they have connections to interesting things. Papers by President James Madison, William Pinkney, and General John Armstrong. Mostly deals with diplomatic relations with France, significant to the eventual war of 1812 with Great Britain. Overall in good plus condition. Scattered foxing, mostly on edges, and little foxing at all in the middle pages. Light browning throughout. Edges very clean. Some folds on bottom corners, pictured. My background in economics amex makes me really enjoy this book and I think that it would fit very well in any collection focused on business. The scarcity of this book could be mistaken as this is the complete course as opposed to the intermediate course. Only one copy of this book is held institutionally, in the Osaka University of Economics Library. The book is large, measuring 14 inches by 9 inches. London: j & f tallis. Cloth. Good. rembrandt. The National Gallery Of Pictures. Likely 1848.  This work was commissioned by the government and offered to members of Parliament or the general citizen by purchase. Price of 10/6 on spine. Poor condition. Covers and spine nearly detached from both volumes. Bindings are weak but intact. Other than the two detached plates pictured, pages are all attached. Moderate to heavy foxing throughout, but it stays on the edges for the most part. Despite the negatives, innards remain fair to good. Great detail. A unique early compilation of great masters of art containing names such as Rembrandt, Murillo, Gaspar Poussin, Antonio Correggio, etc. There are too many contributors to list here. An interesting book signed by the author and contains a personal message to senator Nicholas Palladino of Connecticut. Dated 1943. In overall good condition with a complete dust jact it and no structural issues. The dust jacket does have one line of tape on it which was done very well.
