Hastings House. New York. 1942. 126 pages. Hardcover. The brown covers are in very good condition with minor bumping/rolling on top and bottom of spine. The title, author and publisher are in gold on the spine. The spine is rolled just a bit. The condition of the dust jacket is poor. Large pieces are missing on the front cover and especially the spine; many other tears and fraying are present. The jacket is price-clipped and there are some annotations in pencil on the front and back inside flaps and the back cover. The dust jacket is now protected in a clear, archival removable cover; this plastic cover is holding the jacket together. The binding is solid. The interior of this book is in very good condition. The pages are clean and slightly toned, there is no writing, markings, or foxing detected. The book includes over 50 black/white photographs of the New England region taken by Samuel Chamberlain.
