Copy of a lecture given in Clifford's Inn Hall by invitation of the Metropolitan Council of the Independent Labour Party. Mackail was Morris's biographer. 37 pp. First edition.

Vertical crease mark, front cover has some faded writing in red ink. There is a large orange 7 written on the front cover, page edges are a little ragged. Articles on George Washington as a Mason. A few pages are untrimmed. 36 pp.

Los Angeles: ONE, Inc, 1955. Wraps. Fine. Cover by Eve Elloree. 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" stapled wraps printed in black and red, [48] pages, printed in black and red throughout. Clean and bright, without flaw. The "Second Anniversary Edition" of the first U.S. pro-gay publication, issued by ONE, Inc., an early gay-rights organization (itself an offshoot of the Mattachine Society) which was notable for admitting women as well as men into its ranks. The cover story for this issue was Norman Mailer's "The Homosexual Villain." Other contributors included Alden Kirby, George Weaver, R.H. Crowther, Trebor, Dal McIntire, James Barr, Robert Gregory, Anton Lorenz, Cris Rozak, Gabrielle Ganelle, and Michel Ramsey.

n.p.: Fawcett Gold Medal, 1957. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good. 7" x 4-1/2" perfect-bound paperback. Spine slightly slanted, spine tips rubbed and chipped, but a sound copy. Though called "a biased and vituperative study" by one reviewer, "Women Without Men" is notable for being one of the 10 paperback best-sellers of 1957 among all publishing companies, regardless of genre. Cover painting by Barye Phillips. 159 pp.

Dark green cloth with red rule line on front and spine, red lettering on spine, extremities are worn, previous name and date 7/10/94 written on front end paper. Top edges red. He also wrote his name above the first chapter. His signature appears on a few other pages. 263 pp. plus, 12 pages of other books published by Griffith Farran. As of July 2023 we could find no issues in the trade or on OCLC.

Brown embossed cloth with gilt lettering on spine, fading to some of the letters, a couple of white spots on front, foxing and discoloration on first few front pages. Frontipiece of author with tissue guard. In 1835 Stewart formed, and became president of, the New York Slavery Society. He argued that slavery was in violation of the Constitution and should be abolished. 426 pp.

New York: Communist Labor Party of the United States of America, 1919. Wraps. Very Good. 9 x 6 inch (23 x 15.25 cm.) staple-bound booklet in printed brown wraps. Paginated as [353]-448, i.e. 96 pages. Previous owner's name ("Mr. D.J. Winn [of the Winn Wool Carding Mill], Bowman, Ga., 1921"), and a few water-droplet marks on the upper wrap, a bit of foxing, soiling, and a dog-ear crease to the first leaf, else clean and bright. The final issue of the short-lived (13 issues in all) bi-monthly journal founded by the Socialist Party of America in 1917 to further the views of the "Zimmerwald Left" in America; ownership had been transferred to the CLPA in October 1919 following a three-way split of the SPA. The following month (the month of this issue's publication), the Palmer raids began, forcing the CLPA and its sister organizations underground, and terminating the journal's publication.
