Designed for identifying plants encountered in Hong Kong, it includes such plants as Spurge, Blue Pig-Ear, and Gold Button, among many others. The names of the plants are also printed in Chinese.

These were re-published by the Book of the Month Club in 2000 as reproductions of the original editions, complete with the illustrations by Mary Shepherd, who did the pen-and-ink illustrations for all eight of the original books. (And when we say these are "reproductions," that means the first book includes the "Bad Tuesday" chapter as it was originally published. The book helps with the choice, by providing color illustrations of how each pattern would look with a few different color schemes. The book begins with over 30 pages of basics on both knitting and crocheting, introducing the beginner crafter to techniques, vocabulary, and helpful tips. Then come the projects: from the traditional Patchwork to the pretty White Aran to the striped and textured Jewel Lap Blanket. Each pattern is more beautiful than the last, and Linsley's instructions are easy and fun to follow.
