Set of ten imaginative color aquatints in the Art Nouveau style, depicting various erotic scenes from the playfully fanciful to the grotesque. One of 20 copies on Japan within the larger edition of 110, each plate signed by the artist in pencil with the pseudonym "Remigius Eques" and numbered 12/20. "The hope which the scriptures afford us, that our pious friends, who have fallen into the sleep of death are now happy, and at the general resurrection shall be raised from the confinement of the grave, and be made compleatly blessed forever, is excellently suited to alleviate our sorrow, and reconcile us to that providence which calls us to part with them."
