London: G.Bell and Sons, 1970 This book covers a span of some five and a half centuries and the reader is well served, both historically and technically. The author was for many years the print expert at Sothebys. 192pp with 105 full page plates in black and white.

London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1939 Published in December 1939. The authors rather quirky experiences in North Africa and his assessment of the Italian presence. 255pp with black and white plates and seven maps, three showing defences. The covers leave much to be desired but the content is very good and most interesting.

Blackheath Village, SE3: The Morden Society, at the Sign of the New Argosy, 1925 55pp well illustrated in line by the author with some interesting local advertising in the style of the time fore and aft. Slight set off to foredge of cover and nominal foxing to some of the ad. pages otherwise very good throughout.

Church Crookham, Hants: Gurkha Museum, 1987 In 1769, the Army of Prithwi Narayan Shah from the kingdom of Gorkha (in West Central Nepal) overran the valley of Nepal and gradually gained control over the whole country. Their dominions increased considerably over the following decades until they covered large areas of Garhwal and Kumaon and came up against the expanding empire of the Honorable East India Company. This clashj lead eventually to the Nepal War of 1814-1815, and it is from this date that the enlistment of Gurkhas in British Service began. 93pp. Duplicated production with plastoic binding.

London: Robert Hale, 1995 Alphabetical encyclopedia format of 410pp with b/w illustrations. Comprehensive.

Paris: Gautier-Languereau, 1930 Bocassine came to town from the fields of her native Britany and was constantly causing trouble and making one gaffe after another. But she had a good heart and the children loved her. Some of her forthright expressions however caused her to be censored by the Germans when they occupied France during the Second World War. 64pp with decorated end papers. Covers lightly soiled otherwise very good throughout.

London: Batsford, 1987 Books on the subject are few and far between, therfore this is a must for collectors of Staffordshire Blue. Covering the periof from 1780 to 1850 the fully annotated illustrations include 108 marks and 119 photographs of specimens together with the technical developments of Staffordshire Blue.

London: World Affairs Book Club, 1951 "I first heard about the hydrogen bomb in the spring of 1945 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where our scientists were putting the finishing touches on the model-T-uranium, or plutonium, fission bomb. London: Virgin Books, 2000 Founded more than ninety years ago, Morgan is still a family firm in a world of conglomerates, run by the third generation of the Morgan family and operating from the same modest factory in rural Worcestershire. 326pp illustrated in colour and black and white.

New York: Chas. P. Young Company, 1976 The complete Yale University text printed in an edition of two thousand copies for private distribution. Beautifully printed on decal edged laid paper in 390 pages, with a monochrome frontis portrait of Franklin by David Martin (1737-1798).
