These are very crisp printings possibly artists proofs printed on India paper, protected in red quarter hinged leather box with two raised bands and gilt title to spine. Interleaved with acid free tissue, also contemporary with the 1926 printing, a handwritten note giving the titles, "The eternal itch and The World, the Flesh and the Devil". These are the designs that were used for the endpapers, The Eternal Itch to the front and The World, the Flesh and the Devil to the rear. Lawrence was delighted with the designs.
