San Jose: Gallery One. Fine. 1975. Hardcover. Too: 118 leaves Two: 17 leaves; 11" x 8.5"; original printed white wrappers on coated stock on both catalogs which are bound into plastic over corrugated brown paper boards; brown paper spine over the plastic which causes a 'pocket' between plastic and corrugated where approximately 30 clipped words, printed white on black paper float freely, most now in a jumble at bottom edge. Front cover title "word works stew" in black, with portions of other stenciled words in black. Inside rear bound in wrapper is the torn remnant of what appears to be a parchment sheet perhaps used in the process adhering the binding. Originally issued as a portfolio of loose sheets. The series of exhibitions investigating the word in art started with Word Works, at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California in 1974, culminating with a focus on dimensional aspects of Word Art with Word Works Two. .
