No Place: No Publisher, 1889. Cabinet card of a ?Regimental boxing match in India, approximately 165mm x 105mm in size, dated 1889 to reverse. Image faded, pin hole to either end where once pinned up, slightly rubbed. Reverse has notes in ink, 'From Joseph Theodore O'Brien to his affectionate chum Edward Perkins, ?Ramplu, India, 20th February 1889, for Rs 150, 37 rounds'. First Edition. Unbound. Leeds: B. Dewhirst, 1815. [3], 2-46pp. Modern marbled paper over boards, paper title label to spine. Externally very good, internally the title has been reguarded with some light staining, text is lightly browned, with a few spots of foxing. The printer was B.[enjamin] Dewhirst (fl. 1800-1824), see BBTI. On a charge of removing stamps from executed deeds, Blackburn was found guilty and hanged. Buckingham: Seeley, 1805. Single sided printed broadside, approximately 180mm x 300mm in size. Lightly browned generally, browned to head and foot with small amount of loss to bottom right hand corner, horizontal crease to centre, small black mark catching a couple of letters but with no loss of sense, a few small nicks and tears. Relating the practising of manoeuvres by the Royal Westminster Regiment and the Twickenham and Isleworth Volunteers in case of invasion by Bonaparte, noting that "however true it may be that the appearance of Invasion is, at this time, more distant than it has been at many periods, yet I believe no man will doubt, but that the same Power, which has dared to threaten England, still pants for her destruction ... Let it then be the boast of English Volunteers that to them has been assigned the illustrious task of completing a triple line of defence round the country which gave them birth". First Edition. Meerut: Royal Irish Fusiliers Printed, single-sided broadside with a poem within a decorative frame, no date, but probably relatively contemporaneous with the battle. Slightly chipped to edges, lightly browned, lightly creased from old folds, small hole to centre just catching a letter but with no loss of sense, generally fairly bright. A poem about the capture of the Napoleonic Eagle at the battle of Barrosa, on the 5th March 1811, and printed at their own press in Meerut. Uncommon, not found in COPAC. First Edition. Unbound. Date on title page has been over written in ink (from 1724 to 1752), signature D is browned, some other light browning, especially to edges, very occasional spotting, otherwise fairly bright and clean.
