Modest foxing, soiling, & toning, otherwise Very Good or better.
A charming presentation of the best known poem of the Ingoldsby Legends in which a crow runs off with a cardinal's ring & ends up a saint. The illustrations were also issued by Nister in a set of six postcards (Nister, Series 17).
Quite uncommon, OCLC locates a single copy at London's National Art Library, Victoria and Albert Museum (3/26/2020).

Lightly soiled & toned, small unobtrusive scuff on the upper cover, gilt a bit dull, otherwise very good.
Presents Ionesco's earliest theatrical works in English translation which provide a delightful romp through the solitude and insignificance of human existence.

Philadelphia: E.L. Carey & A Hart, 1837. First American edition. Complete in two octavo volumes, [9], 10 - 199; [9], 10 - 186 pp. Contemporary paper over boards backed in plum muslin with printed paper spine labels.
Bindings soiled & rubbed, spines & labels browned, lettering on labels obscure, shallow losses at spine extremities, joints splitting on volume two, previous owner's name in old ink at the pastedowns & first blank page of both volumes, Good or so. From the library of Henry Augustus Muhlenberg who was a Lutheran clergyman in Lancaster, Pennsylvania & additionally served in congress from from 1829 to 1838. The first American edition, originally published with a slightly variant title in Dublin in 1836. The Dublin imprint supplies Philip Dixon Hardy as editor & describes the contents as "selections from the Dublin Penny Journal."

No place (United Kingdom ?), no publisher, no date (ca. 1880's per OCLC). First & only edition. 12mo (7" x 5"), 76 pages. Publisher's gilt-lettered blue cloth over flexible boards. Recorded by OCLC but not located (accession number 4263946).
Ex-library (deaccessioned) with call number label on the upper cover, bookplate, rubber stamped markings, etc., modest edge wear, front cover warped, cloth a bit soiled & lightly stained, offsetting at endpapers, otherwise good or better.
The title page reflects author as "Edmund Burke," which is a pseodonym for anonymous Irishman "who has lived in Scotland for over thirty years" (p. 47). The contents, in fact, are not a speech but a 48-page political manifesto condemning rebellion and anarchy, sandwiched between two sections of verse regarding the proper behavior of a civilized, respectful, religious, dutiful nation.

Boston: Printed by Joshua Cushing, 1808. Second edition. 12mo, 44 pp. Printed text only, lacking wraps (if issued).
Soiled & foxed, apparently removed from a larger volume, still good.
The second edition adds 4 pages not found in the first printing comprising "interesting documents, furnished by a gentleman lately from London."

London: Printed for J Johnson, 1808. Third edition, corrected. 12mo, [6], [1] - 280 pp, two engraved illustrations in text. Later (nor recent) quarter calf & patterned cloth over boards with a gilt-lettered maroon morocco spine label.
Lightly rubbed, brief wear at corners, bookplate of Captain Todd, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) at front pastedown, a couple of leaves roughly opened causing small losses in the margins (text unaffected), occasional soiling internally, still Very Good. A collaborative effort which is apparently mostly the work of Maria Edgeworth which "rejects an English stereotype of Irishmen and portrays them accurately in realistic, everyday settings" (Fauske & Kauffman/ An Uncomfortable Authority, p. 44)

Slightly rubbed, brief wear at the corners, endpapers & pastedowns browned, minor foxing & occasional handling marks, Very Good. The Irish poet's first book, uncommon in the first edition.

[Manville, New Jersey]: published by the compiler, 2000. First edition. Quarto (11" x 8.5"), 34 photomechanically reproduced sheets mostly printed recto & verso, stapled at the upper left corner. Includes some illustrations. Lightly soiled, moderate edge wear, otherwise Very Good.
Compiler Heelan was Superintendent of the Manville, New Jersey public schools. Chapters include:Penal Laws, Famine Scenes, Mass Evictions, Coffin Ships, Case for Genocide in Ireland.

Publisher's textured black light card stock with applied, gilt-lettered labels, "Handmade by Malachi McCormick," housed in a hand made paper over thick card slipcase with gilt-lettered labels. Text in Gaelic & English.
Fine copies in slightly rubbed slipcase.

Corners & spine extremities bumped, otherwise very good in near fine dust jacket with a trace of edgewear. Although the title page indicates that this is volume one, no subsequent volumes have ben published to date.
