Not as well as his contemporaries Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickok, General Custer, Rain-in-the-face, Chiefs Sitting Bull and Yellow Horse, but in winning of the West, his contributions were just as important as theirs, if not more so. Linguist, explorer, hunter, fur-trader, soldier, guide, naturalist, scout, musician, taxidermist, painter, and hand-to-hand fighter. He fought and won a hand-to-hand duel with Chief Yellow Dog of the Sioux. At the time he was Chief of Army Scouts under General George Crook and Chief Yellow Dog was under the command of Chief Crazy Horse.

City in Colorado County, Texas, United States, founded (1873) in anticipation that the Galveston, Harrisburg, & San Antonio Railroad was going to build through the site. It was originally named "Jackson" after D.W. Jackson, a native Georgian and landowner, but subsequently was called "Weimar" in tribute to the German city of Weimar. Located on Interstate 10 and US 90 between San Antonio, Austin, and Houston, Weimar is a small community of predominantly Czech and German descendants.

Wrappers, Quarto, 20 pages, b&w photographs and drawings, Very Good, Interesting and informative booklet, mostly on how to properly pack the 'chute, but also with brief information on the company. The Hoffman Triangle Parachute was the first successfully glide-able parachute and its development earned Maj. E. L. Hoffman the Collier Trophy, presented by President Coolidge in 1927. The booklet has a news clipping laid in that describes an employee of the company setting a record of 14 jumps in 11 hours over Russell Moore Flying Field in Dayton, Ohio. The same employee had already set another record in 1931 when he jumped out at 20,000 feet and delayed opening until 1,590 feet. Also laid in is a single folded sheet reprinted article from Popular Aviation, August 1934, on Major E. L. Hoffman and his parachute.
