Paiull-Pioneer Music Corporation, 1946.. Paperwraps 9" x 12" folio, 32 pp. Cover photo shows him with a 6-string tiple (4 courses, 2 doubled). 17 original songs by Hall, known as "the red-haired music maker"... In 1923, he released the song "It Ain't Gonna Rain No Mo'", which sold over two million copies, and Eveready Batteries painted their battery tops red to match Hall's, and cash in on his popularity. Now a very scarce songbook 17 original songs by Hall, the Pineapple picador. Fine: clean, straight, unmarked. (Scarce in any condition- no other copies known of at ime of entry).

Hardcovers in forest green leather with gilt titles, five raised bands, all edges gilt; marbled endpapers with ornate gilt inside dentelles; 17.1 mm, 360, 371 pp. Sir Walter Scott called Herd's collection 'the first classical collection of Scottish songs and ballads.' A smaller one volume edition, edited at least in part by David Paton, had appeared in 1769; this two volume edition first appeared in 1776. . Condition: A bright and beautiful set, Very Good plus very light rubbing at bottom tip of spine and bits of rubbing on spine edge; owners' bookplates on front endpapers.
