The portfolio with front cover heavily foxed and the first leaf of contents with the top outer corner dust marked, the other leaves clean and unaffected, the group of 3 leaves fastened at the top corner by a wire paper clip. *No copy on COPAC.

Both in the publisher's buckram, bevelled boards, the Exhibition Catalogue shows slight wear to the spine ends, end-papers foxed, some marginal foxing, occasional corner folded, otherwise a very good copy; the Loan Catalogue has the spine detached and loosely inserted, the covers are marked, the first few leaves show damp-marking along the inner edges, the text is damped at the top corners throughout though diminishing towards the centre, all plates are unaffected and clean, it is offered as a good working copy.

Original printed wraps, a very good copy. *Included is a letter to the Editor of the Journal [Round the Fountain] 1930, discussing the reprinting of some of his medical verse. Garratt mentions 'The Ballad of the Surgery', to be reprinted but points out an error in the original, presumably the St. Bartholomew's Hospital Journal, Round the Fountain. This collection includes - 'The [Medical] Orderly Volunteer [in the South African Wars]' - 'In Memoriam Sir James Paget' with the ms. comment that though approved of by Stephen Paget, it was nonetheless rejected by the Journal - 'A Lay of the British Nurses Association', with the ms. comment that he was Sir Dyce Duckworth's Hospital Physician at the time of writing and that Duckworth was the hero of this parody. In the original, printed in the SBHJ, Duckworth appeared as 'Duckworthius', altered in this collection to 'Polonius'.
