The glue along edges of pastedowns has darkened considerably and the FFE and rear end-page are darkened as well, especially at gutter. Very light foxing on text block. Age-toned pages. Sewn binding remains in sound condition. 250 pages.

Red staining on text block has faded a bit. Age-toned pages. Stains on bottom corner of pages. A few dog-eared pages. Readable copy. 224 pps.

Alfred A. Knopf, 1940. First Edition. Acceptable. First edition. Judging from the faded and stained boards, the DJ disappeared a long time ago. Navy blue cloth-covered boards are stained and quite faded, especially on spine. Corner tips are dented with light fraying to cloth. Spine ends are dented and there is a ding on the rear spine edge. Ex-Libris sticker and embossed stamp on FFE. Paste downs and end pages are quite age-toned, especially so in the hinge area. Read paste down has an old sticker from a book store. Pages are "pseudo" deckled. Top of text block has blue staining to match covers. Binding remains nice and firm. Very readable copy. 381 pages.

Scuffed paper cover with fading, and with wearing to leather on spine. Braided ribbon bookmarker is present; has frayed ends. Some fingerprint smudges on FFE and paste down. Some small circular stains on outside textblock (they aren't foxing, just small stains). Light toning to rear endpaper. Good binding. Nice reading copy. 485 pages.

Anchor Books/Doubleday & Company, 1962. Acceptable. Small hardcover. No dust jacket. This was a paperback book which has been rebound with heavy-duty buckram cloth. Former library book, used at Highland High School in Albuquerque and withdrawn long ago. Forest green cloth with a lighter green design. Full of stamps and card pockets, etc. Some staining to pages. No underlining or hi-lighting. Sturdy binding! Quite readable.

Faint foxing on top edge of text block. Sewn binding and all page signatures are intact. Book falls open between pages 42 and 43. 60 pages.

Wonderful cover art is still nice and bright. Red wine-colored cloth boards are clean, with just a bit of wear to the spine ends. Groovy imprint of a skeleton reading a book design on the front board. Light blue lettering on spine is nice and vivid. Well toned paste downs and end papers, the pages themselves less so. Good binding. Fun read! 282 pages. We will provide photos of the book upon request.

Catalog of the Exhibition in February-March 1975, in Paris, of the drawings of the famous Russian dissident artist Mihaïl Chemiakin (born in 1943 in Moscow), painter and sculptor, banned then rehabilitated. He is now considered one of the most important painters of the new Russian school. Collection of drawings, some in color, preceded by an introduction. ‎No dust jacket (if there ever was one). Yellowed boards with representation of one of Chemiakin's drawings. Cracked hinge/joints. The laminate overlay on the boards has cracked and become fragile. Dented corner tips and to head and heel of spine strip. Yellowed text block. The leaves of the book are the type of paper used by artists. The off-white paper has darkened somewhat, and the blue pages have faded somewhat. Smyth sewn binding is still firm and no pages are loose. Just the cover has become a little ratty. Text in French with one page in Cyrillic. 79 pages.
