A beautiful copy of the 1975 Weiser edition. Dr Moses Gaster possessed the original text which was potentially a 13th/14th century source (possibly earlier). This was a Hebrew book of magic, the text of which Gaster first published, along with translation and commentary in 1896. His English translation here is followed by the original Hebrew text. Gaster's original document is now in the British Library. This is the third impression from 1975, published by Weiser. Pages are remarkably clean and bright, not a single apparent mark, crease, inscription, tanning or foxing. If anything the top edges have the slightest of age wear. Boards are tight and clean. The very slightest fraying at the base of the spine and a miniscule amount of bending in the bottom corners. But all in all a remarkable copy. Historian Geiger and anthropologist Beattie are acknowledged experts on Englishman James Knight, and in particular his mysterious disappearance in 1719 along with his two ships and forty men. Beattie discovered the truth in 1989 and spent four Arctic summers to uncover the evidence of a group of brave men who died in the Arctic three centuries ago.

A very nice first edition (1958) of the excellent analysis by various writers about the famous Versailles 'time slip', sometimes called the greatest ghost story of all time. Gibbons, Joan Evans, G W Lambert and C Harold Ridge are the heavyweight contributors. Pages are clean and bright with no inscriptions or foxing, just tanning on the front and rear end papers (see photos). All maps and illustrations including the fold-out are correct and in excellent condition. DJ is unclipped and intact: a previous owner has covered it in a form plastic tape-wrapper. This is not a removable covering, however neither is it attached to the book, only to the wrapper itself for protection. A nice copy of Gillham's work on Alaskan folk tales. This is the First UK edition, illustrated by Chanimun, part of the Medicine Men of Hooper Bay series. Original cloth, clipped DJ which is generally very nice, a little browning to edges and an old mark at bottom right front cover. Pages have a little staining to bottom edge of textblock. But internally pages are excellent: no inscriptions, clean and bright, no markings or browning. Spine is completely tightly bound. A very nice copy of the 1992 edition of Grant's book, in near fine condition with a very good dust jacket. Grant's excellent examination of Crowley's desire to free man from bondage by showing how to invoke his latent genius, his Hidden God. This is a detailed study of Crowley's sexual magick and esoteric rituals. This is a very good copy. Pages are clean and bright, with no markings or inscriptions at all, and uncommon thus. A little natural tanning on pastedown and FEP, otherwise pages are excellent. One illustration has a tiny extra piece of paper on corner (printing error). All the excellent illustrations are intact. Guirdham was an English physician, psychiatrist, novelist, and writer on the Cathar sect, alternative medicine, ESP and reincarnation. Many of his theories were criticized by some of his peers in the scientific world. Here he details the psychic entities which he said pervaded his life, alongside other mystical phenomena all of which prompted him to learn from what he regarded as visitors from the far past.
