Collection of separately paginated dramatic works issued as Vol. 16 of Inchbald's's British Theatre, each play with its own title page and frontispiece; 12mo, in contemporary early nineteenth century half calf (somewhat worn with minor loss to extremities, early owners ink inscription to front pastedown). Occasional spotting and paper browning but overall a very good copy.

Volume three only (of six), octavo; 480pp. In contemporary uniform full speckled calf (worn to extremities), gilt roll to board margins, five raised spine bands, gilt lettered red and black labels to second and third compartments (one label chipped with minor loss), remaining compartments gilt, small early label ("Sb") to front pastedown, opening and closing leaves lightly spotted, a good first edition odd volume from Georgel's account of Revolutionary France to 1810.

In period style 20th century full leather by J.May of London (with only the lightest of wear), blind double fillets to board margins, five raised spine bands with gilt lettered spine label to second compartment, all page edges gilt, small single marginal wormhole to a few rear leaves not affecting text, first and last leaves marginally stained by leather turn-ins, occasional very feint spots and unobtrusive light paper browning, overall a clean copy of these important early accounts of the Royal College of Physicians undertaken, probably at the request of the College, by Charle Goodall, later to become its President. Recent period-style half calf over marbled boards with five raised spine bands between glt single fillets and gilt-lettered red morocco title label in second compartment, plate of King Edgar's Tower laid down on matching paper preserving decent margins around printed image,very occasional unobtrusive spots and stains, otherwise a very clean complete copy in attractive period binding of this early Worcester imprint and first dedicated account of the city as it stood in the eighteenth century. Later ownership name (N.A.Birtwhistle) to front blank. In contemporary half leather over brown buckram cloth boards (a little worn), five raised gilt-tooled spine bands, spine labels missing from second and third compartments, gilt date at foot of spine. A very good copy.
