Description:
Boston: The Four Seas Company. Boston, The Four Seas Company, 1928. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A very good copy in a good jacket. An examination into the various speculations over the shape of earth. "A mixture of narrative and lengthy quasi-scientific discussion which combine to produce a decidedly eccentric view of the Earth and the surrounding cosmos. The book qualifies as a lost race fiction of the inner world sort, with a touch of the after life thrown in. Way out on the limb of the family tree of the oddball." [Locke, Spectrum I, p83]. The jacket presents well but is split at the spine along 90% of its length. Some chips, and edgewear. Boards a little rubbed at the corners, bumping to the spine tips. [11079, Hyraxia Books]. . Very Good. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1928.

London: No Publisher. London, No Publisher, 1735. Second Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A fine copy. Two volumes bound in one. Full recent calf. Rare edition of the licentious tale of Tanza and N adarn , Crebillon Fils was a French writer and the publication of this book in which he attacks the Papal bull Unigenitus provided him with a short stay in prison. WorldCat records a copy dated 1734 in France, with a different pagination than this, so presumably this is a second or later edition. Londres is likely inaccurate. Two plates. A lovely copy. Description:
London: Gollancz. London, Gollancz, 1928. First Edition. First Impression. Lost Race. The author's third novel. A very good copy, collected primarily for the excellent jacket by E. McKnight Kauffer, though Wright in his own right was an excellent author, sadly under-appreciated nowadays. In Blieler as Lost race / Lost continent / Atlantis [p213]. "Somewhat macabre science fantasy among strange beings on an unknown Pacific island." Inspired by Wells' Moreau [Stableford, Against the New Gods, p56]. In the jacket which is complete with some toning to the spine, and a little wear but remarkably well preserved given it is currently unprotected (it will get a jacket protector shortly!). Book has a little offsetting from the jacket, and foxing to the three edges. And yes, there's a captain Sparrow, a pirate of sorts (well, there are pirates in the book (technically the descendants of pirates)), first name.Andrew (i.e. not Jack, though his son is Jacob, which could be shortened to Jack).…

No precedence has been established and thoughts vary from it being a trial or review binding, to the orange running out toward the end of the process). Description:
London: F. Hextall. London, F. Hextall, 1841. Second?.First Impression. Hardback. A very good copy. Presumably a later binding in cloth, covers bound in and mounted by the look of it. There was a publication of the same by Chidley that the BL has c1840 - so that issue probably precedes this publication. Uncommon. Covers in very good condition, with a bit of a pulling to the front hinge. Some insect damage to the upper cover (bound in ). Some pages misnumbered. Almost certainly the same block as the Chidley issue. It's also a little odd that it's marked #1 and priced 1d on the bound in wrap - perhaps it was issued in parts and this is the book form with a part wrap bound in? Or a later issue with the other wrapper. Illustrated. [9671, Hyraxia Books]. . Very Good. Hardback. Second? Edition. 1841.

Description:
New York: Avalon Books. New York, Avalon Books, 1957. First edition, first impression. Hardback. A near fine copy in a very good jacket. A superb novel. First edition, preceding the UK - I think. A fantastic novel of terrorism, with a slight satirical bent. Presaging to some extent the terrorism in Ireland in the years afterwards. A little rolling and tanning to the jacket, but largely presentable. Some bumping and wear to the spine tips. Jacket needlessly reinforced at the vertices by brown tape, but sit it on the shelves for a few months and you'll probably forget - I certainly did. Red faded on the spine. Cover art by Ric Binkley [11122, Hyraxia Books]. . Near Fine. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1957.

Description:
Lower Chelston, Devon: Gulliver Books. Lower Chelston, Devon, Gulliver Books, n.d. [c1944]. First Thus. Paperback. A very good copy. Gathers together Harold Fredric's Brother Sebastian's Friendship, Alexander Harvey's The Raft and Gertrue Atherton's The Greatest Good for the Greatest Number. Very uncommon, no copies recorded on COPAC or in commerce. ISFDB records two entries in the series, the present title not one of those. Apparently the series reprinted earlier (mostly 19th C tales). Reginald, Melville and Burgess record the series in SF&F Literature [I, p513]. A very good copy with some creasing to the upper wrap, rubbing to the spine and (less so) to the edges. Internally nice.
