Pomegranate Communications Inc,US, 2013 Stunning as new and unused box containing stickers that are re-usable for dressing up all contained in the original cardboard box. This contains 8 sheets of more than 50 durable and re-usable vinyl stickers. There is a double sided 'play-area' for arranging the stickers on the front or the back of the bear. E. D. Ward had an alter ego named Edward St. John Gorey, of whom you have doubtless heard. Utterly typical combination of wearables from the wicked mind of this great and incomparable artist. Technically this is not a book; it is a box with enclosures. AS NEW NEVER OPENED except to check that all is well. GOREY FANS MUST HAVE THIS now hard to find collectable.. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. Description:
Jonathan Cape London, 1964 SIGNED by the author on the title page, without dedication. It also has a former owner's dedication, on the half title page, and the fact that it is very neatly written does not compensate for it being clearly a FAULT. Otherwise this is as you might expect from a book that has been around since 1964; it has been read, but there are no other abuse signs. At least it hasn't been stuck in a library, or left out on a beach. It's got the great man's signature, and the jacket has the four corners angle cut, as is required. The price is there, 18s, which in new money is less than £1! Super Raymond Hawkey jacket, photographed and designed by him, and with the stamp on the back 'DOWNGRADED TO UNCLASSIFIED'. A super collectable copy of a book increasingly hard to find with the author's signature. The cloth cover is firm despite the slight 'lean' and the cover board has the rubber stamp design and the blind indented DOWNGRADED TO UNCLASSIFIED… Read More

Description:
Ex Occidente Press Bucharest, 2012 VERY RARE DOUBLE SIGNED copy of this sought after book. NUMBER 46 OF ONLY 122 COPIES! Possibly the only copy listed on the internet. This Hermetic Legislature is a tribute to Bruno Schulz and the third such homage volume from Ex Occidente Press. At the end of a curious parallel track of imagination the Twentieth Century is frozen by the memory of early spring snows, the lascivious gaze of tradesmen, dark July nights and the chatter of exotic birds. Every face in the crowd is as still as a travelling waxwork exhibit. It is an Age of Genius writ in crumbing ledgers and announced in the margins of charlatans advertisements. Everywhere the agony and ecstasy of its times may be read. Upon every mouldering wall there is a rich mural of creation and beneath every glittering plastic jewel of technology hides an ancient fermentation. In each shop window, with its teetering mannequins, a universe of magical forms unfolds a pageant of infinite life begging to be rewritten, to… Read More

Description:
Abrams, 2008 Stunning example of digital photography at its finest. You will not get this out of your SLR very easily. Flach has produced work at the highest level of art. Where today's flash Harry's yob about all over the world's art galleries, and get proclaimed as geniuses for producing some pretty rancid 'art', this guy quietly illumines the true quest of the artist, which is to reveal the wonder of the world about us. His work is humbling. It is original and sometimes overwhelming, as great art should be. This massive and heavy book is a brilliant production. And this copy has the signature of the photographer on the title page, signed especially at the opening of his new show in London's Mayfair. Utterly brilliant. This heavy book it will need extra postage depending on destination. Language: eng. Signed by Author. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. New/New.

Description:
Farrar Straus Giroux New York, 1984 SIGNED ACROSS THE TITLE PAGE with some vigour. A rare signed example of the American first printing, in a protected jacket. A great, some would say very great, utterly clear and comprehensible version of the 17th Century Irish text. Thought to have been composed even earlier in the 9th Century, this ravishing version takes the reader into an enchanted story world. Magnificent Heaney, writing at the top of his game, is something to treasure. This copy has the stamp of a former owner, and it is a used copy, but it is not abused. The jacket is not faded, and the smart binding has no bashed corners. There are two indentations on the back cover board, but it should bother nobody too much. This is truly a rare signed Heaney, and given the greatness of the content it is worth consideration by the serious collector.
