Description:
A very clean unread copy with a deep red, unmarked binding and white pages. Top edge dyed a charcoal tone. No dust jacket.
Despite the last detail, this copy is almost without wear and aging, with cosmetic flaws comprising some faded gilt on the spine, a 1/16" divot of mysterious origin in the front pastedown endpaper (i.e., the paper attached to the inside of the front cover), and a typed sticker on the free endpaper directly opposite, with the former owner's name and address. When tested, this came up as easily as a Chiquita sticker from a banana, leaving no visible mark, and has been left alone merely on principle.
A bookstore price in light pencil has similarly been left alone next to the sticker, and promises levity -- i.e., is high.
