STATED FIRST EDITION,LIGHTLY SOILED COVERS,BOTTOM CORNER REAR HAS A TIP WEAR,BRUISED SPINE ENDS NOT BUMPED,INSIDE THE FRONT COVER ONE OF THE DJ FLAPS WAS TRIMMED AND GLUED. ON THE 1ST LEAF WAS A BIGGER STICKER FOR A LENDING LIBRARY PARTIALY REMOVER "SKIPPER'S LIBRARY 5 A DAY. THE BOOK HAS BEEN READ A FEW TIMES BUT NO CRACKING HINGES ANYWHERE,IT FEELS AND HOLDS TOGETHER EVEN WHEN I HOLD IT UPSIDE DOWN AND THUMB THE PAGES. a VERY GOOD COPY I DO BELIEVE.

I sell this book without the so call dustjacket which is a bad copy and missing the front inside flap, being sold as one without a dustjacket(as it should be). BUT the book of any early printing is hard to come by and should be in someones collection of 1st editions.

Boston: Little Brown, 1923. would be even better but has a chip top spine 1/4 inch, but a highly sought after Pulitzer prize winner.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.very very tight and clean,no markings.

New York: Farrar Rinehart, 1931 with the seal on the copyright page,blue covers with gold lettering titles,small paper label on spine(could be removed but not by me) 233 pages,very very slight edgewear ,light soiling to cover edges,very tight unread condition,milled top edge,rough cut page ends. DJ: price intact,minor chips and tears,minor soiling and minor wear(rubbing) to the hard green with black lettering stiff paper dj. The best copy listed to date on the internet.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good+.

New York: Random House, 1938 stated 1st printing, green cloth gold lettering black box and lines, covers are soiled, foxing to inside covers, very tight and square. dj is missing big piece in front and large tears and soiling, but still about 85%+ complete.. 1st Printing Stated. Cloth. Good+/Poor.

Big heavy book, it has the issue points of the year on the main title page and matching year on copyright page and no printings listed. The book only has like a wave in the very top of the middle spine. Could probably use one of those eyelash curlers and some alcohol(because it dries so fast) and done. The DJ has chipping across the top edge and some rubbing on spine crease. That's it. checked others listed and it looks better than $225 on eBay. So let us see what a $100 decrease brings. open to offers always.

475 unnumbered sign by the port50 additional(bors commerce) 15 a-o poet, 35 i-xxxv by the publisher. This is unnumbered and beautiful signature. 26 pages Gray(?) cloth with a paper label front cover, some wear bottom edge and light soiling, plastic DJ has issues but is still there, thin . It is larger than regular books.

Palaemon Press quarto. has a clear plastic dj-damaged but kept the book clean, a small bump spine bottom,minor cloth damaged.. Signed by Author. Special Autographed Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good-NF/No Jacket.

Dark Blue leather, with gilt decorations and page ends, the gilt on page ends either has a scratch or something from the factory on all 3 sides But still a very nice looking book. This copy has a signed page from Billy Bathgate(Franklin Library) laid in front and the limitation page laid in rear for proof.
