Hanne Darboven's numerical sequential artist book, self-published and supposedly published in an edition of 200 copies.Numbers are repetitively spelt out and printed in ever-repeating sequences. Printed notations in the margins depict random dates in one century.Only a certain unknown number of copies were actually bound in wrappers. This is a set of six uncut copies from the edition, each presented without covers, all wrapped together in original brown packing paper, handstamped by Darboven and annotated with black marker pen.[see Bippus & Westheider's 'Hanne Darboven. A striking hand-coloured etching of 'Promenade du Boulevart Italien' by Etienne Claude Voysard after a drawing by C. L. Desrais.The boulevard, one of twenty 'grand boulevards' in Paris, received its name from the theatre des Italiens built on it in 1783, but became known as the Petit Coblentz after 1795, since many emigres gathered here from Koblenz, a popular place of exile. It was depicted by many artists, and is perhaps most well known through Pissarro's paintings.The page has been trimmed, and is consequently missing the subtitles. The paper has some creases, particularly noticeable to the upper right of image.
