Original illustrated dust-jacket, not price-clipped (12/6 Net) some loss at spine ends, further chips and creases and tears, now neat and stable inside clear protective cover. Book bound in sage-green cloth with black titles and decorations and with an oval shaped illustration pasted centrally on the front. Hinge and text block firm, neat little ink inscription on the verso of the front end paper. Beautifully illustrated end papers. The text pages and closed page edges have some brown spotting, however the 48 coloured plates by Margaret Tarrant are clean, smooth, clear of spotting.
