"In Defence Of Spurs" by Alan Mullery. Published in hardback by Stanley Paul in 1969. First Edition. 152pp. Both books are in Very Good Minus condition, as are their dustjackets. The boards are clean and the books have no shelf lean or foxing. Their page edge blocks are a little discoloured from age and handling. The internal pages are inscription free. "Mr Grand National - A Biography of Fred Winter" by David Hedges. Published in hardback by Pelham Books in 1969. First Edition. 175pp. SIGNED BY FRED WINTER. The Golden Miller book is in Good Plus overall condition. The binding is strong and the book stands upright with no shelf lean. The boards are clean and so are the page edge blocks. The front endpaper has been removed. The dustjacket is in Very Good condition. It is complete but has lost a little of the gilt lettering along the spine. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. The Fred Winter book has been read more than the Golden Miller one but it is still in Good Plus overall condition. The Gilbey dustjacket is in Very Good Plus condition while the Fitzgeorge-Parker one is in Very Good Minus condition as it has faded to the spine area.
