Paper title label laid on front wrapper. Original limitation slip laid in. Limited Edition of 250 copies, of which 222 were for sale. 28 reproductions of chalk or brush line-drawing studies of the female nude. Green rice paper wrappers sunned at periphery, creased, stained in spots. Closed tears to bottom edge and leading corner of rear wrapper with no material loss. Damp stain to leading edge of flyleaf, title page, and contents page. Pages of drawings in fine, un-marked condition. Quite scarce. Only 14 copies located through WorldCat (OCLC # 3644188), 2 of which are publicly held. Ananda Coomaraswamy, a prominent art historian and scholar of traditional iconography, served as curator in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts until his death in 1947.
