Description:
Based originally on Thomas Bulfinch's "Age of Fable" (1855) accompanied by an interpretative and illustrative commentary. Written by Charles Mills Gayley, Litt.D., LL.D., Professor of the English Language and Literature in The University of California at Berkley. His magnum opus, The Classic Myths in English Literature and in Art, remains valuable today for its thoughtful reviews of the ancient myths and their recurring appearance in literature and art. He not only covers Greek and Roman mythology, but includes a plethora of more obscure and lesser known deities, gods and demigods. This book includes a "family tree" style table that folds out covering the race of Iapetus, Deucalion, Atlas and Hellen. This was a former library book , but is still in really good condition, with minimal shelf wear and a solid spine. It has been signed by a previous owner inside of the front cover, and has a small bit of writing in the pages.

Description:
Classic Charles Dickens, The novel's full title is The Personal History, Adventures, Experience and Observation of David Copperfield the Younger of Blunderstone Rookery (Which He Never Meant to Publish on Any Account). It was first published as a serial in 1849–50, and as a book in 1850. It is written in the first person, as a description of his life until middle age, with his own adventures and the numerous friends and enemies he meets along his way. It is his journey from being an impoverished, neglected child to a successful author. This printing was released 34 years after the original, and is in fair, readable condition. The cover has stains and shelf wear and the pages are quite yellowed, or browned from age, and a previous owner has written in the first couple of blank pages. The entire book however is still intact.

Description:
The Tristan Betrayal is a novel by Robert Ludlum, published posthumously in 2003. Ludlum wrote an outline shortly before his death. The novel itself was written by a ghostwriter.1940, with no one else in place, it falls to Stephen Metcalfe to instigate a bold plan that may be the only hope for the quickly dwindling remains of the free world. Using his family's connections and relying on his own devices, he travels to wartime Moscow to find and possibly betray a former lover – a fiery ballerina whose own loyalties are in question – in a delicate dance that could destroy all he loves and honors. With his opponents closing in on him and the war itself rapidly approaching an irreversible crisis point, Stephen Metcalfe faces both a difficult task and an impossible decision, where success will have unimaginable consequences far into the future and failure is unthinkable. The book itself is in very good condition, with some slight page yellowing from age. The dust jacket is excellent.
