Bound in original Brown cloth covered boards, and with a plain dust jacket, which has a 1 inch split at the bottom of the front fold over, a short tear the top of the rear fold over, and a softening of the creases. Previous owner's name in pencil on the front free end page, no other damage to describe. The author has divided the book into 6 sections, starting with the foundations of history, moving on to agriculture, then to the intellectual transformation which occurred at the time of the Renaissance, industrial triumphs, political failures which included modern warfare and rounds it off with an epilogue.
