Part 1 - iv, 136p. first iv pages loosely inserted and on a larger size paper than the rest of the volume, they are creased and chipped to the edges. Part 2 - [iv], 124p this seems to lack iv pages at the start in comparison with the copy described by Holzenberg. The two parts bound together in original very worn quarter morocco. Signs of a bookplate having been removed from the front pastedown. Front free end paper detached and with some abrasions. Together with a volume of plates in the Middle HIll boards, the plates for part 1 loosely inserted, those for part 2 bound in. Some browning and spotting. 26 plates. Holzenberg 249 which refers to both vols. Part 2 and the plates are more difficult to find than part 1.

Both in the original Middle Hill boards. Part 1 binding in good condition, Part 2 the spine is very torn. Part 2 has the preface set in 2 slight variants. Browning and spotting to some pages. Pencil note to the front pastedown of Part 1 "There was a Priory at Hullavington" and another note to page 1 of Part 2 " to p52 taken 2 March 1837 to Bodley. I haven't been able to find an accurate collation for the book - consequently cannot be sure that it is complete so sold here as described. Undated on the title page, but the printed dedication is dated 1830. In the original paper covered boards and cloth spine, but both boards are detached. The end papers have been replaced at some point. Ink inscription to the front free end paper. Pages browned in places. Pages stained at the start. Hole caused by silver fish to the corners of pages 321-324, but clear of text..
