Three sonatas for Piano and Violin published by 'au Bureau de Musique de C.F. Peters in Leipzig. This is an early 'plated' edition identified by the fact that a manufacturer, Carl Gotthelf Siegmund Böhme (1785-1855), who published many works of J. S. Bach after the revival of interest in his work with the assistance of Carl Czerny, Siegfried Dehn, F. C. Griepenkerl and Moritz Hauptmann. Ownership of the company was transferred to a charity run by the City of Leipzig for a short period after Böhme's death (1855-1860). It can therefore be assumed that this was published pre 1860 as after this date the company name changed. The top and bottom margins are showing wear and dirt staining comenserate with age but the piano score and violin accompaniment [separate parts] are sound and clean
