This includes ranches, split levels, expandable 1 ½ story houses, narrow lot houses, two story houses, swimming pool homes, farm type residences, etc. With text descriptions of each plan as well as general discussions on materials needed. Styles range from traditional to modern. Issued as a catalog for blueprints that could be purchased from the publisher. A good representation of styles in mid-20th century home designs and architecture. GOOD condition. Large square glue stain to the front cover, perhaps from a pastedown removed (or lost). Xii, 264 pp. Color photos at the front, with black and white line drawings and a few black and white photos throughout. A documentation of various housing structures in Afghanistan, found during a survey conducted from 1974 to 1976. The first part looks at nomadic and sedentary structures, with the second part looking at four different village types in the Kabul River Basin. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning, with offsetting to the rear jacket panel. Minor scuffing and edgewear. Heavy fading to the book along the extremities.

ALL TEXT IN JAPANESE. A primarily photo history of American house architecture and design, depicting both exteriors and interiors of houses in the English tradition, as well as Hudson River Valley and Dutch tradition, English tradition south, Federal and Greek revival, German and log tradition, French and Spanish tradition, Victorian houses and pioneers in modern housing. All photos are accompanied by English language captions with Japanese text. While seemingly similar to Mary Mix Foley's 'The American House' there are very few drawings, and all photos are in color. GOOD condition, EX-MUSEUM LIBRARY with a pocket and pastedown present in the interior. Faint remains of a spine label present. Heavy offsetting to the covers along the spine. Minor fading, mostly along the extremities. Interior clean and solid.

Quarto. 272 pp. A work outlining and documenting standards and specifications for the wide variety of materials used by architects and builders in the construction of buildings, in an effort to enable architects to specify with certainty what materials to be used based on the needs of their project. This includes a look at the many manufacturers and companies that make the material. GOOD condition. Moderate fading. Covers rather grubby, with moderate soiling, staining and spotting. Some scuffing. Cloth frayed along the extremities. Owner's signature present on the inside front cover and lower page edges. Paper toned, with minor scattered soiling, in the interior.

A guide to an exhibit of architectural items at the Architectural Museum, spanning from the years 1625 to 1830. The work includes a brief overview of different architectural styles, and is separated into sections such as doors, windows, etc. Each section features an introduction that explains styles and construction, followed by brief descriptions of the items in the collection. GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Pocket, pastedown and spine label present. Covers somewhat browned, with minor soiling and some scuffing. Interior clean and solid.

Of note is an illustrated article on the home of Bauhaus inspired Marcel Breuer, built for himself in Connecticut. Photos and schematics included. GOOD condition. Minor fading, toning, soiling and scuffing to the covers. Upper spine chipped and torn. Perhaps a faint musty odor when opened.

Of note is a two page spread of designs by noted Austrian-American Modernist architect Richard Neutra for cooperative apartments near the Sierras. GOOD condition. Wrappers split and torn along the upper and lower hinges of the spine, with some associated creasing. A few minor chips, tears and creases along the extremities. Large tabloid newspaper format. 4 pp. Ostensibly a journal, Avenu, for this issue, adopts an underground newspaper look to it has a zine look to it, using unique arrangements of text, font, etc., to discuss architecture and related subjects. This issue primarily focuses on Moratorium Day, where workshops on a variety of subjects were created and then held. The paper offers descriptions of the workshops, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold crease present. Minor soiling, toning and a few small stains.
