Description:
THe Old Parsonage, Didsbury: Author, 1908. First . Cloth. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. James Watts. In red cloth with gilt title and gilt image of pilgrim, corners and edges a little worn and bumped. Spine has title in gilt, edges bumped and worn very slightly, cloth slightly faded. Internally, light browning to end pages, NO inscriptions etc, (ix), [3], 396 pp, [2] (adverts), text block edges uncut, with 242 illustrations. Printed by the author and sold by him with little or no help from the London bookshops who boycotted him selling only around 30 copies as opposed to the nearly 900 he sold of the earlier 1903 Welsh Border title. Important!
