Unclipped jacket 6 cm tear at lower front(with several creases in that area) & a 25 mm tear to upper front. The reverse has a 11 cm tear that runs from the top down to the middle of rear flap. book is generally lightly foxed on top edge(as if it had been done by a mist-sprayer) and foxed randomly on fore & bottom edge(s). Couple of bumped or curved corners but binding is clean and internals (save for p. 242-9 which have random foxing) are clean. Unclipped wrapper has a 15 mm open tear at spine tail with foxing present nearly the entire interior upper edge of jacket. No other tears, no chips, no creases and reverse is quite clean & bright.

Fair antiquarian condition. On the spine and extending 3/4" on both face/reverse is a ghost of some long lost protector or binder/jacket in white. The spine has a slight lean. The title page has several notes written in ink; else internally it is clean. Page 63 has come partially unattached. Lower rear hinge is cracked with exposed netting {see image}. Front hinge from the top is starting {see image} 5 x 7.5" . lacking dust jacket. Originally published 1909, this copy released 1926.

NB* The Camberwell Beauty, Louis Golding, Farrar & Rinehart, NY, 1935. First US edition. " The beautiful wrap-around jacket art is by the great George Salter."sticker residue (small corner)on FFEP, and some erased pencil notations on rear end paper- other than that this book is very clean, tight, square and Tidy! Jacket is not price-clipped but does have some tape repairs. Near Fine/Near Fine. Lovely!Inv. #32596 bds 2022. Paid $150 for it. Full transparency.

A "Good+" only reading copy. Heavy wear and some loss to hinges and spine. Edgewear and and a tear at the spine extending horizontally 20mm on the front cover.(don't see that everyday!) Front cover has detached 10mm from the bottom. Several smaller creases both fore & aft. Pages are in decent shape- not brittle. Still a relatively tight binding. Lion #179

pages are age toned, some former clear tape dried residues(but not ex-library copy) on the black textured end papers. Unclipped wrapper has a touch of dust-dulling/rubbing; else "Fine." (because it's so minor I'm going to give it a "Fine").

book's binding is clean however all four corners are curved in and there is a bump/crush to the spine. Unclipped, rubbed, dust-dulled wrapper is in very good conditon with normal light wear at spine head/tail and light chafing along upper extremity.

Chafing along upper edge with small tear at rear flap fold. Creasing to lower front. Small bit of surface loss on reverse.
