The dust jacket has several tears and a small piece torn out of the front bottom. The corners of all the flaps have been clipped, but this appears to be the condition of all the dust jackets, so it may be the original condition. Boston: Crosby and Nichols Circa 1850's. Brown cloth that has been stamped/imprinted with a vertical zigzag and border with gilt illustration and title imprinted on the front cover. Only the title "LITTLE LIZZIE AND THE FARIES" imprinted on the front cover and interestingly, it is spelled "FARIES" on the cover and "Fairies" on the title page. Head and foot of backstrip frayed, Pp. 68, with general title and contents leaf referring to the title Six Pleasant Companions ..., frontispiece, title-page and contents leaf referring to the present collection of articles, and numerous text woodcut illustrations. The full title adds the words "And Other Tales." which are by various contributors, many unidentified.
