The binding is brown cloth with dark brown imprinting on the spine and cover. Very minor bumping/rubbing of the spine and cover corners, else fine. The dust jacket has several tears and a small piece torn out of the front bottom. The corners of all the flaps have been clipped, but this appears to be the condition of all the dust jackets, so it may be the original condition. Only the title "LITTLE LIZZIE AND THE FARIES" imprinted on the front cover and interestingly, it is spelled "FARIES" on the cover and "Fairies" on the title page. Head and foot of backstrip frayed, Pp. 68, with general title and contents leaf referring to the title Six Pleasant Companions ..., frontispiece, title-page and contents leaf referring to the present collection of articles, and numerous text woodcut illustrations. The full title adds the words "And Other Tales." which are by various contributors, many unidentified. Sadly, a child has marked extensively in pencil on all the endplates, frontispiece, title page, flyleafs, etc. Any place that has the actual stories, though, has no pencil markings.
