Paris: Chez Claude Barbin, 1676. Complete set in eight volumes, with the first seven being published in 1676 and the last volume in 1686. Full leather covers with raised spine bands creating six compartments each. Gilt stamped lettering and decoration. Book plate of Murray Earl of Dunmore (1730-1809, Lord Dunmore was a British nobleman and colonial governor in the American colonies and The Bahamas. He was the last colonial governor of Virginia.) Inked name "Dunmore" and date of 1690 is seen just above each of the book plates in all eight volumes. Deaccessioned from the Valentine Museum in Richmond, Virginia, with ink stamped name on front paste down above the Dunmore bookplate and name. There are no other institutional markings. Leather is scuffed and rubbed, and there is a little wear seen at a few spine ends.
