Limited to 500 copies, designed and printed at the Arion Press, San Francisco. The paper is a special making of Utopian by the Curtis Paper Company. The binding was done by the Schuberth Bookbindery. Annotated by David Kuhner, cataloged by Tanya Rizzo, with an introduction by Cyril Stanley Smith. Herbert Clark Hoover (1874-1964) was an American engineer, businessman, and politician who served as the 31st President of the United States from 1929 to 1933. His collection of books on mining and metallurgy, mostly acquired before 1914, was transferred to Claremont College in 1970. The catalogue comprises 912 entries. A fine copy of an attractively produced catalogue.

The library at Heidelberg, the most important German Renaissance library, was founded in 1430th and contained umbering approximately 5,000 printed books and 3,500 manuscripts (including from Ulrich Fugger's library). The Bibliotheca was captured during the Thirty Years' War, taken as booty by Maximilian of Bavaria and presented to the Pope. While some of the books and manuscripts are now in the University of Heidelberg, the bulk of the original collection is in the Bibliotheca Apostolica Vaticana.

The Colbeck collection was formed over half a century ago by the Bournemouth bookseller Norman Colbeck. Focusing primarily on British essayists and poets of the nineteenth century from the Romantic Movement through the Edwardian era, the collection features nearly 500 authors and lists over 13,000 works. A near fine copy of the beautifully produced catalog of the extensive library amassed by a nobleman from Turin, Giuseppe Weil Weiss (1863-1939), Baron of Lainate. The collection was acquired in 1937 by the Biblioteca Trivulziana in Milan and is now housed in the Weil Weiss Room.
