Boards rubbed and soiled, spine faded, some page edges lightly toned. A Very Good copy in a handsome binding. INSCRIBED by Sacha Guitry to British producer and theatre manager Charles Cochran: "À un ami / de dix ans / à Charles D. Cochran / Sacha Guitry." Also with the ownership inscription of the recipient's wife, Evelyn. Sacha Guitry (1885-1957) was a prolific French playwright as well as a talented actor and director. This volume (in French) is a selection of essays, dialogue from plays, and his often-humorous thoughts on life.
