Mustard cloth covered boards. 64th volume in the Rivers of America series. Very good in near fine dust jacket. Head an heel of spine lightly bumped, some age toning to first free endpaper, light toning to top edge, three small spots to last free endpaper.

Two volume set. Both volumes bound in full red cloth with gilt lettering on spines, top edge gilt. Vol. 1 has 346 pages, Vol.2 has 306 pages including index, both volumes have foldout endpaper maps. Both volumes signed and inscribed by Brininstool to Capt. H.L. Barlow of the Los Angeles Police Department dated July 1, 1934. Laid into Vol. 1 is an envelop containing a card and and typed letter signed by Hebard thanking him for his courteous letter and to advise him that Brininstool has a "marvelous collection of books and photographs and I know he is glad to dispose of them for financially he has been hit as the rest of us have." Light shelf wear to both volumes. Volume 1 has some fraying to cloth at head and heel of spine, and offsetting to front endpapers from aforementioned letter, small scratch to top edge gilt. Vol 2 has light toning to front endpapers, very light fraying to head of spine.

Binding lightly pushed at headband. Jacket has light wear to head and heel of spine and tips, tape residue on inside of jacket

Lengthy inscription on first free endpaper, possibly signed by author (First name only). Very good in VG dust jacket. Light bump to head and heel of spine, light wear to bottom edge of boards, one small spot on rear pastedown and last free endpaper. Jacket is price clipped, some toning to spine and front panel.

Head and heel of spine lightly bumped, very small bump to top edge of front board, binding lightly pushed at head of spine, small stain to bottom edge of text block. Dust jacket has light shelf wear to rear panel, price clipped.

Reddish brown "leatherette" style boards, Gilt decoration and lettering on front board, glit lettering on spine, end paper map of Oregon Trail in 1850. Signed by author and artist. Fine, no dust jacket as issued. The book is based on a letter written in 1851 by Lucia Lorain Williams describing her journey along the Oregon Trail.

Third book in the main-highway guidebooks prepared by the Federal Writers Project. xii, 244 pages, well illustrated, fold-out map attached to rear pastedown. Signature in pencil of Francis P. Farquhar dated 1940 on first free endpaper. Full tan cloth covered boards, decoration of wagons on front board, dark brown top stain. Very good. Toning to half-title page and first free endpaper caused by laid-in card publicizing other books in American Guide series.

Second volume in the American Trails Series. Red cloth covered boards, gilt lettering and decorations, endpaper maps, well illustrated, 431 pages including notes and index. Very good in good dust jacket. Head and heel of spine bumped, small bump to top edge of front board, bruise to upper tip of front board. Jacket has substantial wear and chipping to top and bottom edges, tape repairs, some age toning.

Part of the Rivers of America series. Tan cloth boards. Very good+ in VG- dust jacket. Binding lightly pushed at headband, heel of spine no longer crisp. Jacket spine panel is faded, overall age toning, small spot to spine, wear and chipping to top and bottom edges.

Previous owner's bookplate on first free endpaper, 3 corners of boards bumped. Jacket shows chipping and wear along top and bottom edges, small chip to bottom of front panel near heel.

Full tan calf with raised bands on spine, No. 329 of 350 numbered copies, numerous drawings and maps (some folding), foldout frontispiece, silk moire end papers. Slight bump to head of spine. Slipcase is covered with rust colored cloth and is in near fine condition.
