About This Item
New York: Mysterious Press, 2003. First Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. The fourteenth novel in Mayor's continually fine, mystery-crime series featuring Vermont state police detective, Joe Gunther. Not all Vermont is maple syrup, green pastures, fall foliage and skiing. This time Gunther takes us cityside, to Brattleboro with its dark alleys, liittered streets and run-down bars and motels as he tries to slow the rising flow of drugs into his state and to halt the violence and murder that are never far behind. First Edition, First Printing. 292 pages in dark orange, paper-covered boards. Dime-sized stain on front cover (hidden by dj); small pair of wrinkles at top of inside back board caused during manufacture; previous owner's initials in upper corner of fep; and light age-tanning in page margins. O/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows only a touch of shelf and surface wear, no tears, no creasing or chipping, not price-clipped.
