But it is the book's 64 full-page color illustrations of Munich's sites, antiquities, architecture, and its people that make this book truly stunning. Kristiania (Oslo): Gyldendalske Boghandel Nordisk Forlag, 1911. This handsome edition of Ibsen's class dramatic poem is in Norwegian. The book is in Very Good Plus condition. (Click on photo.) It has green striated cloth covers with decorative elements in red, as well as die-stamped bright gilt lettering on the front panel and spine. The page edges are all red stained. The covers are clean, the binding is tight and secure, and the pages are bright and sparkling throughout, with only a hint of age toning. There is the penciled signature and address of a former owner on the front endpaper, which could easily be erased if the new owner so wishes.
