I do not know what publisher compiled these front pages, but this is kind of a remarkable printing job of key WWII stories. Slight split middle of back fold. 8pps folded twice. Vg.

Very Good. 1st printing thus of a circa 1917 (WW I) catalogue printed in tall (4 1/4" x 10") pictorial, cord-tied wraps. 24pp. Illus. Index. The cover illustration shows a uniformed soldier beside a horse holding a guidon with "Standard of Excellence" on the flag. This vintage catalogue shows a number of military uniforms and accessories, including medals, and also other equipment such as camp furniture. A number of items are over-stamped "discontinued" and "price revised." There are several pink printed slips affixed at one end to various pages showing changes to certain products. One insignia metal was cut out leaving a 1 1/6" x 1 1/2" gap on the edge of one leaf. Very, very scarce.

n.p.: Centralia Publicity Committee, 1943. Soft cover. Near Fine. Original 8" x 10" photograph of the famous comedian, Bob Hope, on one of his USO tours, either in 1943 or 1944. Many years ago I purchased two photos in New York State attributed to a freelance photographer named Connolly. We have not been able to verify this. We find no copy of this photo anywhere online, including the well-known major repositories of photography.This is not your typical black and white glossy press photo.It is on a softer paper and is slightly sepia.The only print existing? We simply don't know, but we have not found another in the years we have researched it. The aircraft is a Cessna T-50. The left bar on the side of the plane, a U. S. Air Corps aircraft, identifies the insignia as one used on aircraft between 28 June 1943 and August 1943.
