Price in pencil on free front endpaper. Contains (pp.262-265) the first four poems of Delmore Schwartz's to ever be published: "E. A. P. - A Portrait," "The Saxophone," "Automobile," and "Darkness." Schwartz, whose writing garnered early comparisons to T. S. Eliot, was a major figure in twentieth-century literary circles in New York City and at Harvard, where he taught.
